  40. My Reflection on the Role of ICT in Teaching–Learning and Assessment
In my opinion, ICT plays a very important role in strengthening teaching–learning at the foundational and preparatory stages. At the foundational level, children understand concepts better through audio-visual materials. I use videos, digital pictures, and simple animations while teaching basic Maths concepts like addition, fractions, and shapes. This makes learning more interesting and clear.
In Science, especially topics like light, nutrition, and states of water, showing diagrams, short videos, and real-life examples through ICT tools helps students grasp concepts easily. At the preparatory stage, PPTs, online quizzes, and interactive activities increase participation and improve understanding.
For assessment, ICT helps me conduct online quizzes and worksheets that provide instant feedback. It also helps in tracking students’ progress and identifying slow learners for extra support.
Overall, ICT makes my classroom more interactive, effective, and student-centered, improving both learning outcomes and assessment quality.
